Advance, NC (June 3, 2023) - Vaughn Hastings was inducted into the North Carolina Volleyball Hall of Fame (NCVBHOF) on Friday, June 3, 2023 at a ceremony hosted at Rise Indoor Sports in Bermuda Run.
Vaughn became the first individual to be elected under the Outdoor/Beach category in the NCVBHOF. The celebration included friends from across the North and South Carolina. Randy Smith did the honors of introducing the 2023 Inductee. Among Vaughn's many contributions to the sport are:
- vh1vball Founder: 1996-2013
- Outdoor Rep to Carolina Region Board of Directors: 2006-2015
- Facilitated Outdoor (Grass and Sand) competitions at the 2004 and 2008 NC State Games
- Oversaw 25,000+ tournament entries and 1000+ participants at his Outdoor events
- Raised over $100,000 for charities through his events
- USAV Junior National Referee
- Tireless promoter of the Outdoor sport to adults and juniors all across NC
