Coaching Clinics

NOTE - For the 2011/2012 season, the Region plans to only hold IMPACT clinics across the state (no season meetings in conjunction with IMPACT as in the past).  We plan to hold some general informational WEBINARS for clubs and coaches interested in hearing what is new for the 2012 season.  We will post information about the WEBINARS shortly.  We will hold FOUR IMPACT clinics for coaches in the October to December time period.  We will have one makeup clinic in January (reminder - coaches cannot coach in a tournament until IMPACT certified so January clinic should be last resort -online webinars through USAV are option also).  All coaches that need to be IMPACT certified may choose the clinic that they wish to attend. A minimum of IMPACT certification is required in order to coach (this applies to all Head and Assistant Coaches) in the Region.  An IMPACT certification now grants three seasons of coaching eligibility in the Carolina Region (new for 2012). The annual continuing education requirement had been discontinued.  Coaches that have an existing IMPACT certification will have an initial expiration date of 10/31/2012 (so they do not have to attend a clinic for the 2012 season).  Attending another IMPACT clinic, CAP clinic, or other approved HP Coaching Development Clinic at any time will extend a coach’s elligibility another three seasons.  All coaches can log in to their member account to check their certification status and renewal date.

REMINDER - Coaches will not be added to a Team’s Tournament Roster until they are IMPACT/CAP certified and pass the Background Screen. So all coaches must be IMPACT certified before their team’s FIRST tournament!

Please pre-register for a clinic at least one week in advance so we know how many to expect!
