Professional Officials Opportunities

The Carolina Region is looking for Professional Adult Officials that are interested in helping Officiate our sanctioned Junior tournaments each season.  New and experienced officials welcome.  If you are interested, please contact the Brian Webb for more information and download our Informational Flyer.  New Professional Officials should also review our General Information Sheet for additional information klikk på denne linken.  

Professional Officials Informational Meeting & Training (Only need to attend one):

2019 Meetings (only need to attend one):

  • December 1, 2019: SITE – Triangle Volleyball Club, 121 Competition Center Drive, Morrisville. TIME: 9 am – 1 pm.  Officials Pre-season meeting for Professional (working our Junior Events) Officials with under 4 years experience working in the Carolina Region. Open to any professional official but required for all officials with 3 years or less experience. NOTE: All Officials will need to take their applicable ONLINE Clinic BEFORE attending this clinic (for information on registering for the online clinics, go here).  Pre-registration is required for this clinic.  To preregister, GO HERE.  NOTE: You only need to attend one of these meetings to be eligible to be assigned as a professional referee.
  • December 15, 2019:  SITE – Barber Park (Simkins), 1500 Dans Road, Greensboro NC  27401.  TIME:  9:00 am – 1 pm.  Officials Pre-Season meeting for Professional (working our Junior Events) Officials with under 4 years experience working in the Carolina Region. Open to any professional official but required for all officials with 3 years or less experience. NOTE:  All Officials will need to take their applicable ONLINE Clinic BEFORE attending this clinic (for information on registering for the online clinics, go here). Preregistration is required for this clinic.  To preregister, GO HERENOTE:  You only need to attend one of these meetings to be eligible to be assigned as a professional referee.
  • January 2, 2020 – Makeup Online meeting for Officials that were not able to make one of the in-person meetings above.  To register, send an email to Brian Webb by January 1.

2020 OAAP Training Sessions:

    • January 17, 2020 (Raleigh Convention Center) – OAAP 101, 102 & 103 Clinics.     • January 31, 2020 (Charlotte Convention Center) – OAAP Module mini-Session #1.     • For National-level Referees  *New this Year*:

      May 23-25 – A Premier National Referee Camp is being hosted at the USAV Open National Championship in Minneapolis, MN.  This camp is the first of its kind and is specifically for National-level referees looking to improve their skills and learn from the best.  There will be a cap of 15 participants so register early!

    • For Junior National-level Referees:

       April 3-5 – A National Candidate Camp is being held at the Show Me Qualifier in Kansas City.  Campers should be Junior National referees applying for National Candidacy this year.  Campers will receive detailed feedback to help them prepare for the next level.  This camp will be capped at 24 participants.

    •  For Regional-level Referees:

      March 6-8 – The Sunshine Qualifier Regional Development Camp in Orlando is for Regional referees and those looking to improve their skills to stay on top of their game.  Campers will participate in a variety of activities in addition to R1 and R2 during this camp.  Register early because this camp is capped at 24 participants.

      June 28-30 – The GJNC Referee camp in Dallas is for Junior National referee candidates.  If spots are available, Regional referees with Region Referee Chair support may be accepted.  Register early as this camp fills quickly and is capped at 40 participants.
