Welcome to the 2005/2006 season! The seasons go by quicker and quicker each year it seems, but we're all excited to get back out on the courts and watch people enjoy this great sport. We have a lot of exciting developments to unveil this year. Here are a few of them:
(a) Online Registration - we tested the system last season for USA Volleyball and this year we will use it exclusively. There will still be kinks and bugs which happens with anything of this complexity, but we think this will greatly improve our registration process, communication, and member services available to the general member. We already have a lot of people renewing/joining through the system. There is an article in this newsletter devoted to the online system and you can visit the Online Registration start page for more information.
(b) 25th Anniversary - 2006 will mark the 25th year of operation for the Carolina Region! We will unveil a special logo on our website shortly to commemorate this achievement. We will also be using the logo on our awards, t-shirts, and communications this year. We may also offer some merchandise for sale with the logo. Look for more information soon
(c) Website - we're planning a major re-design of our website for this season. The goal is to make everything easier to get to from every page. We're still in the planning stage but some of the re-designed pages may begin showing up during the season. Most of the work will have to be done during the summer, however, due to the time constraints of registration and tournament administration. We appreciate your patience and hope the wait will be worth it! As always, we want your feedback if there are things you think should be on the website, but are not currently.
