2005 Officiating Clinics

The Carolina Region Officiating Schedule has been announced. Re-Certification clinics for those officials that have been certified for each of the past two seasons are again being offered (Anyone can check their prior year status from this page to see if they are eligible to attend a re-cert clinic - 2005-2006 Official's Status Page). All clinics have a pre-registration requirement of one week (clinics may be cancelled if less than 10 are pre-registered). For Junior Clincs—Teams will be limited to sending no more than 5 players (must include player names) and pre-registration is REQUIRED. We also are still encouraging the bigger Adult & Junior Clubs to host their own official’s clinics this season. Officials and Raters Clinic: Sunday, Nov 13, 2005 - Greensboro SportsPlex from 1-5 pm. This clinic is for National, Junior National, and selected Regional Officials that will make up the cadre of Officials clinicians and raters. These officials should attend so we can go over the standardized clinic and rating outlines to be used this season. Contact Chuck to pre-register and get more information.
Adult Re-cert & Full Clinic: Sunday, Nov 20, 2005 - Greensboro SportsPlex. Re-cert clinic is from 9 am - 12 noon. The Full clinic begins at 1:00 pm and lasts until 5 pm. Re-cert clinics are open to those officials that have been certified each of the past two seasons
Adult Re-cert clinic: Tuesday, Nov 29, 2005 - East Chapel Hill HS from 6 pm - 9 pm. Re-cert clinics are open to those officials that have been certified each of the past two seasons (a list of who is eligible for re-cert clinics is now posted).
Region Junior Officiating Clinic (Re-cert & Full) (open ONLY to Junior players - coaches that want to be certified must attend an Adult clinic): Saturday, December 3 - Statesville HS. Recert clinic begins at 9:00 am until 12 noon. The Full clinic begins at 1 pm and ends around 6 pm. Re-cert clinics are open to those officials that have been certified each of the past two seasons. Please bring a bag lunch in order to eat lunch during the day.

Officials boot camp: Saturday, Dec 17, 2005 - Greensboro SportsPlex from 9 am - 6 pm. This clinic is for all officials that will be working our Junior tournaments this season. A referee and scorekeeper clinic will be given and then officials will be given opportunity to work matches for additional training and ratings. All officials working Junior tournaments should attend so we can go over the standardized procedures to be used this season. Contact Chuck to pre-register and get more information.
