2004 Officiating Clinics

The Carolina Region Officiating Schedule has been announced. Re-Certification clinics for those officials that have been certified for each of the past two seasons are again being offered (Adults can check this list to see if they are eligible to attend - Adult Re-certification Clinic Eligibility list; Juniors can check this list to see if they are eligible to attend - Junior Re-certification Clinic Eligibility list). All clinics have a pre-registration requirement of one week (clinics may be cancelled if less than 10 are pre-registered). For Junior Clincs - Teams will be limited to sending no more than 5 players (must include player names) and pre-registration is REQUIRED. We also are still encouraging the bigger Adult & Junior Clubs to host their own official's clinics this season. Visit the hosting your own clinic for information on this option. Region Adult Officiating Clinic: Sunday, November 21 - Greensboro SportsPlex. There will be a recert clinic in the morning from 9 am - 12 noon. There will be a Full clinic in the afternoon from 1 pm - 6 pm.
Region Officiating Clinic for Adults that are working Junior Tournaments this season: Saturday, November 27 - Greensboro SportsPlex. The clinic will start at 9 am and will include a re-cert and full clinic depending on the needs of the officials. We will also have a meeting to cover how we are to work at the junior tournaments and the points of emphasis for the season. Finally, we will have raters there to give on-court ratings (you need 2 ratings as the R1 and one as the R2 involving a minimum of 2 different raters and 2 different matches). The Sportsplex is having a friendship tournament that day so we will have tournament play to officiate. Please pre-register online (see below for link).
Region Adult Officiating Re-Certification Clinic: Monday, November 29 - East Chapel Hill HS from 6 pm - 9 pm. Re-cert clinics are only open to those officials that have been certified each of the past two seasons.
Region Sponsored Junior Clinic (open ONLY to Junior players - coaches that want to be certified must attend an Adult clinic): Saturday, December 4 - Statesville High School. There will be a re-cert clinic from 9 am - 12 noon (for those junior officials that have been certified each of the last two years). There will be a full clinic 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm for everyone else.
Region Sponsored Junior Clinic (open ONLY to Junior players - coaches that want to be certified must attend an Adult clinic): Saturday, December 11 - East Chapel Hill High School. There will be a re-cert clinic from 9 am - 12 noon (for those junior officials that have been certified each of the last two years). There will be a full clinic 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm for everyone else.

Region Adult Officiating Clinic: Saturday, December 18 - UNC-Chapel Hill (Fetzer Gym Room 109). There will be a recert clinic in the morning from 9 am - 12 noon. There will be a Full clinic in the afternoon from 1 pm - 6 pm.
