Congratulations to all the teams that represented the region at the Junior Olympic and Invitational Tournaments this summer. You will find results elsewhere in this newsletter.

Our Region High Performance teams are heading to Utah again this summer to compete against high performance teams from other regions and countries. We wish them well in their travel and their competition. This year is the last of a two year cycle and we will be taking applications and selecting the coaching staff for the next two year period shortly. If you have an interest in being considered for a position within our High Performance Program, watch for more information soon or contact the region office.

At the planning retreat this summer, the board decided to add a second staff person to promote volleyball to adults, juniors, youth, community organizations and others around the state, enhance member services and help grow the game. The job description is on the web site and we hope to have someone hired and on the job by early September. This is an exciting and important step for the region and the future of our sport in North Carolina.

By the time you receive this newsletter, the region will most likely have a new member. Kevin and Aubrey Wendelboe are expecting a new arrival into their family very soon. Congratulations!
