Two of the major issues confronting the Carolina Region in the Junior Divisions is the subject of Recruiting and Tryout policies. Over the past few seasons, the Carolina Region Junior Division and Board of Directors have made changes to how we regulate the recruiting and tryout processes. It is a work in progress to be sure. This season, we have asked a few of our dedicated and committed coaches to look into the issues more and present some proposals to the Junior Advisory Board to discuss. Our thanks to Tim Gabel and his committee for their hard work on these issues. Below are links to two proposals being put forward to the Junior Advisory Board (JAB) at their meeting on May 3. It is the intent that during the JAB meeting these proposals will be discussed, improved upon, and ultimately, a final version put forward to the Carolina Region Board of Directors for approval and adoption. All clubs, coaches, and/or parents not planning on attending the JAB meeting are invited to give their feedback on these two proposals.
