The Carolina Region Board of Directors have been working on a Board restructuring plan for the past two seasons to streamline the governance and operations of the Region. The Board voted at the January, 2006 meeting a new set of Organization By-Laws to go into effect with the Annual Meeting. The main purpose of this Annual Meeting is to elect the following Officer positions for the indicated terms:

In addition, the new Board structure calls for the formation of the following Advisory Boards:
(a) Adult Advisory Board
(b) Youth/Junior Advisory Board
(c) Officials Advisory Board
Once these advisory Boards are in place, they will develop their own election procedures and name representatives to the Carolina Region Board under the guidelines of the Bylaws. Until those representatives are elected, the existing board will appoint the following positions as needed.

If anyone is interested in running for a position on the Board or would like to nominate someone, please contact Secretary Betty Fox. Incumbents may be elected to another term.
All Teams are entitled to one vote per position being elected in the election of the President, Secretary, and Treasurer's positions. The other positions will be appointed by the Executive Committee until the Divisions are established and proper elections can be held for the representatives. If a slate of candidates is known before the meeting, they will be posted on the web page. We are investigating allowing online voting this season. Team Reps will receive an email with instructions once details are known.
