2009-2010 SANCTIONED ADULT SCHEDULE

NOTES: The following are the dates/weekends that the Carolina Region will open up for sanctioned adult tournaments. This page will be updated as soon as sites/dates are confirmed. Check back for updates but realize the full/completed schedule will not be posted until January, 2010 after all adult and junior requests have come in. Interested Tournament Hosts can go to our Tournament Director section in September for information on submitting a Tournament Sanction Request form to host a tournament.

Please see the Entry Information Page for instructions on how to enter tournaments, entry requirements for Regional Championships, and other information. Go to the Points System site to view entries received, pools, and results. Also, please consult the FAQ for general tournament questions such as start time, formats, etc. For entry information and withdrawals by Friday noon before the tournament, contact the Region Office. For all other information (directions, hotels, and withdrawals after Friday noon before the tournament), contact the Tournament Contact (copy the Region Office if sending an email). Day of Tournament Contact number (if provided by TD) will be a cell phone, pager, or facility phone you can try the day of the tournament if you are withdrawing or running late, etc. Failure to notify the Region Office and Tournament Director of a withdrawal will result in an automatic sanction.

* The Quest (Jan 2/3) and Asheville Hi Neighbor Mar 20/21) are the only tournaments on our schedule that entries go directly to the Tournament. Please do not send entries for the Quest or Hi Neighbor to the Region Office (we will not forward them to the tournament and the delay may cause you to go on their waiting list as the tournaments fill quickly). Direct all inquiries about the Quest and Asheville Hi Neighbor to their respective Tournament Contacts.

OTHER FRIENDSHIP/NON-SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS/LEAGUES

• Sunday, March 28, 2010 - Pfeiffer University will be hosting 2 men’s volleyball tournaments this spring. Entry fee is $85. Looking for a good mixture of college club teams and USAV teams. No jerseys or rosters will be required, so just come and play. Once teams register, we will determine the best format to get everyone the most amount of matches against different teams so it is worthwhile for every team here. • Saturday April 10th 2010 - Adult/College Coed 4’s Volleyball Tournament - At Brevard College and the Transylvania Recreation Department Brevard, NC. This is a fundraiser for the Brevard Women’s Volleyball Team. Cost: $70 per team. Time: 8:30 am - approximately 7:00 PM. 20 team limit. IF THERE IS ENOUGH INTEREST- I can run a B Division 1 – 2 courts pending the sign ups (5-10 teams).
